Dropbox for Teams. Considering it.

I just looked at “Dropbox for Teams” and at first hand I marked it off as “not interesting” and “too expensive”…but when thinking about it some more it could well be worth the bucks it costs.

In our company we have a big samba share server providing Photoshop files, Word Docs, production files, etc.; one NAS for Quotations, Invoices, Templates, etc. and a Linux server for all our development work. Setting up samba shares requires a sysadmin, administrating NAS users is done via a clumsy interface, …

As a team of 20 people Dropbox would come in as roughly $222 / month which looks expensive at first but gives us the freedom of 3 TB(!) of storage, unlimited file history, seemless syncing and a super easy interface to add anybody to a new or existing folder.

Has anybody considered this in their company or is already using it and has some insight?
